Seasoned senior production geologist with over 18 years of experience at Shell, specializing in integrated reservoir modeling, field development study, operational geology, and well and reservoir management. Played a significant role in hydrocarbon maturation studies and project leadership. Expertise extends to diverse international projects across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the West, where extensive skills in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving technical advancements have been honed. • 2019, 2021, Nimr A and E Infill Maturation Subsurface co-ordinator, Pioneered the coordination of two Large to Medium capex infill projects in the Nimr asset, leading a multidisciplinary team through the entire lifecycle from studies to FID, resulting in a 5% increase in incremental recovery. Demonstrated exceptional ability in integrating diverse subsurface disciplines and steering projects from DG1 to DG3 stages of the Opportunity Realization Process (ORP).
• 2020, 2022, Khaleel East Oil Discovery Exploration discovery lead, Instrumental as lead PG/ FEDM in the discovery of a medium-sized field with 125 million barrels STOIIP, leveraging advanced 3D seismic and limited well data. This landmark achievement led to the development of 60 horizontal wells in the KMW field, marking a significant milestone in PDO's history.
• 2020, 2023, Nimr Cluster fields (Nimr A/E and KMW) FEDM, Spearheaded a team as a Shell secondee, overseeing four horizontals, medium to small capex-sized infill development projects, encompassing 40 wells in Nimr Asset. Successfully identified and matured potential flank extension opportunities to FID, adhering to the ORP process.
• Assurance and Review: Projects PG TA, Played a crucial role as PG TA2, reviewing over 6 HCM projects. Provided critical feedback on geological models, well correlations, stochastic 3D static models, volumetrics, uncertainty analysis, and development concepts, including ARPR reserve estimation review and endorsement.
• Well Delivery Technical Assurance PGTA-Well delivery, TA2 reviewer for over 60 horizontal/vertical and development/exploration wells. Responsibilities included scrutinizing well locations, casing designs, geo prognosis, geohazard assessments, and emergency response plans, culminating in endorsing well proposals.
• Coaching and Mentoring PG Coach, Contributed in nurturing talent, successfully guiding graduates through the Graduate Development Program and providing specialized coaching to junior Petroleum Geologists in reservoir modeling, enhancing both project quality and delivery timelines
• Studies Focal Point HCM studies tracking, Served as the focal point for various HCM studies in the Nimr and Bhaja Rima clusters. My role involved integrating support for project delivery, tracking weekly progress, and reporting on milestones and necessary support to cluster leads.
• Process Improvement Initiatives, Developed and implemented Standard Operating Practices for reservoir modeling and reservoir performance reviews, enhancing efficiency and standardizing methodologies across projects.
