Mechanical Engineer with nearly 13 years of experience in construction and FEED, specializing in static equipment and vendor coordination across major oil and gas projects. Keen to drive technical excellence, resolve complex interface challenges, and deliver results in fast-paced project environments.
I am currently working as a Mechanical Static Engineer in the FEED office since early 2022, where I’ve contributed to projects like the Habur Project (FEED + DD), delivering complex designs for static equipment. One of the achievements in Habur Project (FEED + DD) was to eliminate the requirement of 13 silencers on the off-plot scope resulting in savings up to 700K$ (without considering maintenance cost of theses 13 silencers ).
Below positive outcomes i gained in FEED office :
Senior Mechanical Construction Engineer in Qarn Alam Area Covering EMC/Off plot contracts in Oil & Steam fields.
Projects worked on
As a service planner in Sperry Drilling (in supply chain SAP):
• Raise/create PO(purchase order) & PR(purchase request) .
• Ship equipments (sending drilling motor to rigs in system) .
• Build equipments( building MWD and DD tools) .
As an assistant operator in Well test unit SMS (Sand Management System) :
• Rig-up and Rig down SMS unit.
• Maintain SMS equipments such as valves PM &CM.
• Clean out of well effluent with solids such as propent/FRAC.
• Had the chance to interface with different well services such as wireline, FRAC, CoilTubing.
It was a great experience although it involved much of body work rather than mental or critical thinking and which
made me appreciate the tough jobs done in Oil & Gas industry.
The training period involved both theoretical and practical (field work)
aspects. There I became acquainted with the significance of well testing in the
exploration and production of crude oil. During the training period I attended a course
that explained the aim of well testing, how it’s done and how to analyze data obtained
from the test. Also, did some research on sand erosion during well testing activities.
Understanding PDO'S workplace,
safety and life saving rules. Understanding the NRPS(Nimr production station) various departments, significantly
the mechanical operation department. On the other hand, I got hands on practice in
servicing pumps and changing mechanical seals, shaft alignment, PM for export pumps
and maintenance of compressor. Also witness projects in Nimr that includes several
activities such as fusion welding, shrink sleeve, blasting and holiday test for carbon
steel pipeline , NDT (non destructive testing) for pipeline.
Understanding of ORPC’s organizational structure generally.
Familiarization with various engineering departments including mechanical engineering.
Learnt about different refining equipments and their significance in the refining process
such as centrifugal pumps, positive replacement pumps, compressors, gas turbines, storage
equipments, etc. Nevertheless, learnt about process of refining crude oil such fractional
distillation, chemical treatment.
Communication and organization skills
Ability to lead and take responsibility to make the right decisions
Always keen to learn more and to spend time and effort needed to do the job properly including attendance of any required courses
