  by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports, reviewing existing policies and making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them, using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the service.

Set up documents for review, create templates, manage requests for
documentation, file documents in physical and digital records and ensure
appropriate storage, review, validate and maintain the accuracy of the
records, editing where necessary to ensure they are up to date, liaise with and distribute project related information with all levels of the project team and potentially external parties, manage the processes around documentation within the hospital, prepare reports on projects when required.

Assessing pain levels from verbal and non-verbal cues, recommending a
change in medications or dosages if the patient isn't experiencing adequate relief, teaching patients how to take pain medications safely,
introducing patients to alternative pain management techniques.

Supervising the rest of the department's nurses, addressing patient
