Provides overall direction and guidance to the various departments’ reporting to him/her.

Business and financial planning, budgeting and control, management of employees and protection of all company resources and assets.

Ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s values and its rules and regulations, including HSE.

Ensures the smooth and efficient scheduling of the shipments to maintain minimum inventory. This is followed through on a monthly and yearly schedule which is sent to off-takers to plan their shipments. A day to day interaction with the off takers is necessary to ensure they lift the stocks early to keep the inventory at lowest levels possible.

Generated an annual business of over US$ million contributing to 100% of the company's annual turnover.

Utilize the storage capacity to maximse the gain. Selling at highest possible rate if price is in rising trend by keeping the stock and selling at right time.

Ensures the implementation of the HSE procedures in the department for safe operation. This is monitored through the emergency response plan, oil spill response plan, initiating permits, and day to day interaction with HSE.

Prepares the training needs of the departmental employees, by identify the working skills required for each employee. Implementing the training plans regularly and continuously to improve the standard of work of all employees.

Briefs management on the day to day activities through daily meeting and emails.

Initiates management of change initiatives (MOCs), materials purchase requests (MPRs) and work orders (WOs), for the efficient functioning and operation of equipment.

Ensures urea is available for sale to the local market through the bulk marketer.

Follows the contents and clauses of urea and ammonia off-take agreements to ensure correct implementation. Administers and implements tug operation, surveyor, and C& F agents’ agreements.

Formulates contracts for the tug operators, surveyors, customs and forwarding agents and other contracts relevant to the shipping operations.

Ensures the safe berthing and sailing of ships.

Monitors the day to day operations of the product handling plant, bagging unit, ship, and jetty - loading operations.

Prepares the capital and revenue budgets of the department. Assist with financial aspects and budgets to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the dept

Assist and lead best practices around the use of systems and tools to manage inventory, gain efficiencies and drive sales

Forwards the shipping documents to the buyers GOI, YARA, OQT SWISS SINGAPORE, and KITZ and ensures that they settle the invoices of urea and ammonia respectively within the specified period. Till now achieved all the payments in time no dues pending.

Formulation of contracts for the tug operators, surveyors, C7 f agents and other contracts relevant to the shipping operations.

Monitors the shutdown activities of department.

Follows the contents and clauses of urea & ammonia off-take agreements for proper implementation. Besides administrating and implementation of tug operation, surveyor, C& F agents etc. agreements in good faith.
