Lead Project Engineer responsible for execution of critical projects in PDO’s South Oman Greater Birba facilities & fields handling high sour/ H2S projects for Engineering Maintenance Contracts and EPC projects, including complex station turnarounds.

Al Noor Rationalization Project(70M USD CAPEX)

Comprised of 3 sub projects Al Noor LPO compressor (new booster compressor for Gas export), Al Noor Utility Upgrade(37km OHL, new Auxiliary building with new E&I panels, full station fire & gas upgrade etc) & Al Noor Flare Upgrade project (new HP & LP flare including new KO drums and associated mech, E&I works)

Al Noor Rejuvenation Project (20M USD CAPEX)

Replacement of all critical equipment which have reached design life (HP Separators, Lean Amine exchanger, Reboiler, Drain pumps, degassing vessel, Replacement of GRE A/G piping with Nickel Alloy piping etc).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Concept selection finalization along with Concept & subsurface team.
• Review of Concept Selection Report (CSR) & project delivery initiation.
• Preparation of Project Execution Plan
• Prepare Contracts for EPC Contracts
• Pre-qualification & Qualification of Bidders.

Harweel Main Production Station Turnaround (EPC Contract Value of USD 65M)

The project was the biggest turnaround of a facility in the history of PDO. Duration of trunaorund was 60 days with scope of replacement of 3 major first stage high pressure separators (250ton each) and associated piping & instrumenation modifications, with resources of upto 350 manpower. Turnaround was successfully completed in 45 days without any LTI and bagged several appreciations from Shell Upstream & was declared as one of the best scuccesful turnaround. Project involved engineering worth 3MUSD, procurement of 54MUSD & construction worth 8M USD.

Harweel Phase 3 Facilities (Contract Value of USD 42M)

The project involves engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning of infrastructure comprising of a new remote manifold complete with drain, vent, testing facilities and 2 new GRE trunk lines of 10km each, which facilitates hook up of 14 new producer wells from Sarmad & Harweel deep to Harweel Main Production Station (HMPS). Project is highly critical due to the, procurement of costly long lead CRA materials & high pressure GRE and work execution of the same in a very high H2S work environment while HMPS is operational.

Sohar Presure Reduction Terminal (SPRT) -EPC Project -Oman Gas Co Sohar Aluminum Smelter PRT -EPC Project -Bechtel & Co. LLC (Contract Value of USD 47M)

• The project is an EPC one, with PRT of design capacity 21.5MMSCMD having mainly equipments like five nos of 2115KW indirect water bath heaters, five nos Filter separators, shut down valves, metering systems, gas chromatograph analyzer & associated electrical and instrumentation systems. This plant is an unmanned plant which is controlled through a field bus control system and solid state instrument protective system. This project is intended to deliver gas to various consumers like Sohar Refinery, Sohar Power Plant, Oman Methanol Co, Sohar Fertiliser Plant,, Shadeed Steel, Sharq Steel & PVAXX etc
• Major responsibilities handled are co-ordination with Engg Consultant, procurement of equipments, expediting with sub contractors, vendors, liaising with client and site co-ordination

Free Water Knock out Tank at Thuleilat for PDO (Contract Value of USD 2M)

• Worked, for the scope of Design, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Transportation, Erection at site, Inspection, Testing, Painting and Commissioning of one FWKO -Double Wall Tank (39 m 0 for Outer tank x 33 m 0 for Inner tank x 12.5 m high) including all Civil works like foundation, tank pad, etc.; Cathodic Protection and associated Piping, Electricals / Instrumentation works
• Combined Presure Reduction Terminal (CPRT) -EPC Project Oman Gas Co (Contract Value of USD 4M)

Worked as Design & Estimation Engineer Associated with the jobs for Petroleum Development Oman L.L.C and the jobs for KCC, Abu-Dhabi.
