Administrative Accountability:

  • Operate according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of Pharmacy Departments of Secondary Care Health Institution, a Specialized Polyclinic,Renal Medicine Unit and all Allied Health Centers under its jurisdiction as per the MOH policies and procedures.
  • Established and promoted continuous efficient and safe pharmaceutical care services for patients through Pharmacy Quality Management Services.
  • Held master control over supply chain of Pharmaceutical products and Medical equipments through coordination and consolidation.
  • Developed and optimized organizational systems to boost efficiency and keep operations scalable and agile for changing demand.

Pharmacy Operations:

  • Supervised pharmacists and assistant pharmacis t in adhering to their job duties and responsibilities according to the MOH policies and procedures.
  • Conducted various periodic meetings such as Drug & Therapeutic Committee, promoting more efficient and rational use of medicines through effective planning of drug policies. Applied therapeutic category analysis (ABC) and Vital essential and non-essential analysis(VEN).
  • Conducted routine and surprise field visits (inspections) of all the governing health institutions pharmacy and pharmacies of private establishments to ensure safe practices assigned by the MOH policies and procedures.
  • Conducted perpetual audits ensuring the quality standards as per the MOH guidelines.
  • Implemented the Track & Trace electronic system for patient safety in patients dispensed medication such as narcotic and psychotropic substances (NDPS) to reduce drug dependence,.
  • Implemented Track and Trace electronic system for Batch Re-call of related pharmaceutical products due to drug quality problems as per the drug Control department guidelines set by MOH.
  • Implemented the (NEHR) National Electronic Health Records system in tracking the patients medication minimizing Adverse Drug Reactions raising through Polypharmacy .
  • Reported Adverse Drug Reactions to the ADR monitoring committee (UPSALA) through ViGiflow adverse drug reaction reporting electronic system. Used Naranjo analysis for assessing the causality of an ADR.
  • Prioritized patients needs and safety by ensuring safe medications for patients by following the DGMS policies and procedures. Reporting through(Medication reconciliation,Medication error reporting,Pharmacist Intervention, Adverse Drug Reactions,Drug Quality reporting etc).
  • Ensuring Product quality through adherence to quality assurance for Drug Procurement.

Pharmaceutical & Biomedical Supply Chain Operations:


  • Managed daily operations of supply chain orchestrating forward -thinking strategies to accomplish efficient value added services..
  • Managed total inventory control of pharmaceutical products such as drugs,surgical,dental materials,medical gas,biomedical equipments,laboratory reagents and disposable according to the policies and procedures of MOH.
  • Liaised with departments of health services for effective management of stock control by implementing lean approaches achieving minimized floor stock and expiries.
  • Engaged in ensuring Pharmaceutical Good Storage and Critical Time-Sensitive Cold Chain Shipments best practices
  • Assessed supplier quality to maintain tight cost control and maximize service operational performance.
  • Linked logistics to the organization chart forming a loop of Inbound logistics and outbound logistics to operation through consolidation,coordination and cooperation, thereby reducing the expenditure to 15-20 %.
  • Effectively utilized the Track & Trace electronic system to follow the product inflowing and monitor till it reaches the consumer.
  • Minimized lead time during procurement of specialized non-approved drugs through strategic planning of annual requirement.
