  • Providing medical care to women as most responsible physician in different clinical setups including labour and delivery room, emergency room, outpatient clinic and operative room, all while providing guidance to juniors in the department.
  • Performing complex gynecological procedures weekly with both open and laparoscopic with a focus on minimally invasive surgery including laparoscopic total hysterectomy, myomectomy, excision of deeply infiltrating endometriosis disease, ureterolysis and lysis of extensive adhesions.
  • Actively involved in weekly utilization of the minor Operating room theatre performing diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy procedures with day care stay.
  • Responsible for availability and maintenance of surgical equipment in the obstetrics and gynecology theatre: This process requires being up to date with equipment available in the hospital and new devices offered in the market. In addition, regular meetings are carried out with the biomedical department, the OT nurse in charge and surgical colleagues to ensure the needs of staff in the OT are met in a timely manner.
  • Submitted a proposal on SQUH staff Laparoscopy training with the aim of creating an opportunity for senior specialists to extensively train in basic laparoscopy to obtain confidence in performing level 2 gynecology procedures comfortably, Oct 2023.
  • Actively involved in teaching of medical students, residents and trainees: This is provided through guidance of case presentations and discussions in the morning meeting report, at the bedside, outpatient referrals and emergency consultations.
  • Formal lectures are provided regularly to senior clerkship students on multiple topics including dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, the diagnosis and management of uterine fibroids and recurrent pregnancy loss.
  • Actively involved in the evaluation of medical students during clinical rotations, at the OSCE exams as well as the invigilation of written exams.
  • Member of the quality committee as a quality auditor with the responsibility of reviewing and recommending safety-related policies and standards in the obstetrics and gynecology department, Aug 2023.
