Field Technical service Responsibility -

• Advising on paint specification and providing recommendations for preparation and application methods

• Liaising between PPG Sigma Paint, the Account Executive, the owner's representative and contractors
• Ensuring all relevant documentation is available prior to meeting customers and starting projects
• Carrying out random inspections at every stage of the coating project in relation to surface preparation, environmental monitoring, and paint application to ensure conformity to the specification
• Completing standard reports accurately and promptly, and keeping a daily logbook of all site and project details
• Ensuring the timely delivery of paint
• Supporting the sales staff by introducing new products or suggest alternative coating systems
• Protecting PPG Sigma Paint's interests by being in attendance on site, as required, to carry out inspections, clearly represent the PPG Sigma Paints position in case of disputes and issue disclaimer letters when required
• Representing the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times

Sales Responsibility -

• Acquire new customers (yards & applicators) and manage a portfolio of current customer relations in the Oman area.
• Identify and develop new customer relations in line with business development plans/targets.
• Systematically identifies business opportunities and will work on resolving existing and/or potential challenges.
• Works in close cooperation with the distributors in the market, and pinpoints gaps and resolves these and works with the Area Sales Manager to provide a sustainable solution.
• Monitor sales against agreed targets and implement remedial actions where necessary.
• Deliver periodical progress reports and proactively submit recommendations regarding improvements in the approach to the marketplace.
• Co-operates with Technical Representative in educating customers on technical requirements of available product lines.

Job Responsibility-

• Performs all type of QC test such as salt, dust, adhesion, Holiday as per project requirement.
• Ensure the proper mixing and application of paints especially in case of vinyl ester, solvent
  free coatings.
• Verify after coating the required dry film thickness.
• Arranging materials, machines consumables in advance to achieve the daily target.
• Verify materials against plan on daily basis and follow through the prepared plans on daily
  basis.
• Monitor all-in process stages against quality plan such as blasting and painting for each code.
• Inspect final stage as per the drawing, quality plan, codes and standards.
• Guide and monitor trainee blasters and painters.
• Assist QC Supervisor for any special assignment / report.
• Carry out sub-contractor inspection for painting, blasting and galvanizing
• Preparation of Painting / coating Procedure Qualification Test (PPQT), Repair Procedure,
  Method statement, Test plan (ITP), Inspection Formats/Checklist, Reports and archiving of
  documentation for client handover and approval
• Monitoring and verifying blasting and Painting/Coating quality issues i.e. measuring weather conditions, check abrasive, quality of compressed air, surface profile, paint
  thickness, holiday detection test to ensure compliance with relevant project specification.
• Inspection of surface preparation and coating together with Painting representative and Owner representatives. Responsible for all painting inspection. Check at all stages the proper application of contract specification and the reapproved procedures related to the applied coating system.
• Witness the Painter, Coating Applicator & Blaster qualification Test.
• Selection of Paint System as per ISO Drawing and Project Specification.
• To perform Inspection activities in line with inspection procedures, HSE management system, maintenance and inspection policies.
• Performs all type of QC test such salt, dust, adhesion, Holiday as per project requirement.
• Before start the work assure the nozzle pressure and Blotter test.
• Insuring incoming coating material shall be comply FIFO system

Job Responsibilities-

• Ensure that necessary inspections are carried out as per the applicable specification for all the projects.
• Monitoring and checking the Blasting and Painting activities (prior/after) to ensure that the quality of workmanship is in accordance with the client's specification, painting and blasting procedure.
• Monitor decreasing and high pressure fresh water wash to be carried out.
• Verifies weld spatter and all surfaces irregularities to be removed.
• Chloride Test to be carried out as per Standard (When required).
• Compressed air used for abrasive blasting to be checked as per Standard.
• Monitor air pressure and nozzle size of blasting equipment.
• Ambient condition and substrate temperature to be observed in every two hours intervals.
• Surface cleanliness to be verified using Standard.
• Anchor profile to be checked as per clients requirement
  Dust contamination test to be carried out as per Standard (If required).
• Inspecting the coating application and wet film thickness.
• Monitor and ensure over coating intervals between each coat of paint.
• Check the paint material (manufacture, paint name, batch number, batch certificate, shelf life etc). Monitor and ensure the paint materials are stored in good condition.
• Verify after coating the required dry film thickness.
• Check coating curing test as per standard (When required). Monitor performance of Blaster and Painter at site.
• Raises NCRs for non-conforming products.
• Raising punch lists for incomplete works.
• Check calibration of the equipment.
• Ensure that necessary inspections are carried out as per the applicable specification.
• Check that adequate and proper repair of all defects has been undertaken.
• Check paint/coating color, appearances, and shade uniformity.

Job Responsibilities -

• Reviewing the approved drawings and other related project documents / procedures to understand the job scope.
• Preparation of the painting procedures / data sheets.
• Ordering the painting materials.
• Monitoring the environmental data's.

• Monitoring the paint storage area at least twice a day.
• Inspection to be done as per the approved inspection and test plan requirements.
• Coordinate with the inter-department for the NDT/ other testing activities are completed before painting.
• Coordinate with client / contractor / company / end user / TPI to get the inspection done and the inspection documents reviewed and approved.
• Inspection documents to be prepared prior to the client inspection and get it approved on time.
• Responsible to release the equipment / item for the delivery after confirming that all the activities completed and approved by all the parties.

Job Responsibilities -

• To assure complete & correct execution of approved Project Quality Procedure.
• Responsible for all preliminary inspection, final inspection & Hold points that have been established in Project Specification & ITP are witnessed.
• Responsible for monitoring, recording, surveillance of painting/Coating activities as required by the Project Specification.
• Holiday detection & other action as detailed in Inspection Test Plan.
• Conducting chloride test, air purity test, abrasive contamination test, Dust test, Paint curing & hardness test, etc as required by the Project spec.
• Record site condition like Humidity, Dew point, Dry film Thickness.
• Co-ordinate and assisting Client & Site construction team for effective integration of QC daily activity.
• Familiar with all International Painting Inspection Standards (ASTM, SSPC & ISO etc)
• Responsible for preparation, compilation and hand-over of all documentation from daily stage reports to final acceptance report.
• Knowledge of all type of Abrasive Blasting, surface preparations& various painting system / coating lining and there applicable for various Environments.
• Knowledge of all type of Painting Inspection Method & Inspection Instruments. Routine inspection blasting and painting of Piping, Vessels and Tanks.
• Inspection of incoming materials traceability according with the specifications.

• Monitoring inspecting activity of all the coating inspector and guide them.
• Assist QC Supervisor for any special assignment / report.
• Carry out sub-contractor inspection for painting and blasting.
• Take care of all coating inspection measuring tools and testing equipment including calibration.
• Attend Clint or third party inspector for Painting inspection.
• Coordinate with paint supplier for sample testing of various paint or issuing test reports.
• Ensure the correct coating system, DFT and application procedure is followed and inspected as per ITP.
• Liaise with shop Foremen and/or workers of respective production areas for all quality matters.\
• To check all the incoming coating materials (Steel shots, Garnet, Paint, Thinner etc) upon arrival and verify the P.O. requirement and T.C.
• Daily meeting with Production and PPC for new job running jobs status and if any special requirement.
• In depth knowledge of blasting, Inorganic paint, organic coating, painting, Pickling & galvanizing processes.
• To perform following tests as per client requirement :
  Cross Hatch test
  Pull of test (Dolly Test)
  Holiday detection test
  MEK Test
