• Supply Security: Oversee electricity supply for the 132/33 kV and 132/11 kV networks, ensuring reliability within defined limits and prioritizing safety.
• Monitoring Systems: Utilize HMI SCADA systems to monitor events and alarms, responding to anomalies to maintain normal operations.
• Spinning Reserve Management: Ensure sufficient spinning reserve is available to secure continuous supply for both the network and customers.
• Voltage Control: Maintain proper voltage levels within network parameters as per TANWEER protocols.
• Power Flow Management: Manage and control the flow of active and reactive power throughout the transmission network.
• Emergency Response: Evaluate network conditions and coordinate with field operators during emergency situations.
• Switching Programs: Review and approve all planned switching operations in the high-voltage system, adhering to electrical safety rules.
• Reporting: Compile and send daily, monthly, and annual reports on network status and operations to senior control engineers.
