the required scope of works comprises to complete the construction of Harweeb-Mitan asphalt road with Approx. total length (211) km. in Governorate of Dhofar Due to V.O.1.
The project site is located in the border area of the Wilayat al Mazyounah at Dhofar Governorate
The project road start at Harweeb town directed to the north side and passing Andaat town at station about (44+780) Km and directed to north side passing Tusnat town at station about (70+020) Km and directed to north side reach to Mazyounah City at station about (108+950) and start from Mazyounah R/A at station. (120+000) leads to north direction up to Mitan town at station about (209+750) Km. In addition, Andaat- Habroot Link asphalt road with Approx. length (11Km).
The project consists of four stretches in addition Andaat- Habroot Link Road as per follow and showing in the Drawings.
· Stretche-1: (Harweeb - Andaat) with approximate length 45 km.
· Stretche-2: (Andaat - Tusnat) with approximate length 26 km. and Andaat- Habroot Link with approximate length (11km).
· Stretche-3: (Tusnat - Mazyounah) with approximate length 39 km.
· Stretche-4: (Mazyounah - Mitan) with approximate length 90 km.
The Road shall be Asphalted single carriageway with cross section consists of two traffic lanes with total C/W width (7.0) m with (05) m asphalt shoulders and (1.0) m earth verge in addition to (1.0) m rounding either side as per typical cross section at the drawing of the project.
The pavement layers thickness are as follows:
60 mm. Asphalt base course. 150 mm. Crushed Aggregate Base Course, 200 mm. Sub-Base layer,200 mm. Sub-grade.
The road will be provided with safety measures such as road marking, road signs, surface water drainage steel guardrail, concrete safety barrier, side slope protection, slope stabilization, and provision of future ducts and curb stone at junctions and also the works shall be including water drainage structures such as box culverts, pipe culverts & floodway at wadis locations.
