Responsibilities:
Part of project control team assigned to Oman Botanic Garden project, one of largest in world, designed for LEED Platinum certification, located over 430 hectares consist of two glass biomes, cable car, steel & façade structure, PV farm, water treatment plants, and landscape.
Planning and scheduling:
• Responsible for developing, monitoring and reporting of project plans, cost estimates and schedules.
• Implemented an automated data collection tool 'Procube' to update project progress which reduced manual effort and increased productivity over 20% resulting in significant savings.
• Proactive analysis of program and monitoring productivity, cash flow, resource histogram, progress curves for early warnings, bottlenecks and assessment of likely impacts of changes/variations and likely mitigation plan.
• Coordination with client, consultants, senior management and statutory authorities.
• Periodically reviewing progress of design, procurement and construction with reference to baseline program, addressing shortfalls, develop recovery schedules when and where required and ensuring plans made are implemented.
• Identified resources requirement for project and effective utilization of organizational and subcontractor resources.
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, executive reports and contractual correspondences.
Cost Control:
• Preparing project budget, coordinating with procurement team and advising procurement strategy to ensure that all packages executed within assigned budget.
• Identifying and maintaining records of contract vs tender variation, changes issued via Engineer’s Instruction and formalizing changes by submitting notice of claim and amendments.
• Preparing cost control reports and cash flow.
Subcontractor Management:
• Identifying and appointing of specialized subcontractors.
• Preparing contracts documents, negotiation with vendors and finalizing contract.
• Administering signing of contracts, conducting review meetings with subcontractors to monitoring progress of deliverables.
• Reviewed subcontractor interim invoice and claims.
Risk Management:
• Identified risk, maintained risks register and implementation of risk mitigation plan.
• Regularly monitoring critical path, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of delay events and analyze delay events.

Project: Al Batinah Expressway Package-IV

Responsibilities:

Part of planning team which was assigned to construct Al Batinah Expressway Package-IV which consisted of earthworks, excavation and fill, construction of two interchanges, seven overpasses across the expressway at different locations, five wadi bridges, approx. 189 single and multi-cell reinforced concrete box culverts, median drainage system, dykes and embankment protections, pavement construction courses, signage, road lighting and safety barriers.

• Scheduling and monitoring 50 Km of road works which included overpasses, interchanges, bridges, culverts, and earthworks
• Monitoring resource allocation for optimizing time and cost
• Assisted in preparation of Interim payment Applications and getting them certified by consultants
• Monitoring and reviewing invoicing and outstanding status against major clients
• Estimating variation items, rate analysis, and preparation of variation order for submission to Client
• Preparing subcontract proposals for high value orders based on operational strategy and cost provisions
• Verification of subcontractor's invoice, contractual claims and final accounts
• Handle contractual, legal issues including scope disputes and close out ensuring minimum claims from subcontractors

Project: Al Batinah Expressway Package-IV

Responsibilities:
In charge of Pre-cast, steel yard and responsible for ensuring casting of 1036 I–Girders, 1600 Culvert Segments, 16000 Sq. of MSE Panels, and 42000 Meters of Single face barriers by estimating 50,000 MT of steel quantities for the project.

• Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
• Identify options and recommend solutions to resolve technical issues
• Working alongside other site and project engineers in managing delivery of works at pre-cast yard
• Proper resource management for timely completion of precast items to ensure site activities are not hindered
• Providing comments on design calculations and drawings
• Monitor and manage delivery of vendors and subcontractor's procurement items and services
• Assisting in preparation of design reports
• Ensuring quality of construction satisfies project requirements and standards.

Client: Ministry of Transport and Communications, Sultanate of Oman

Project: Modification of existing Round About at Saham, Khabourah.
Value: 42 Million USD

Responsibilities:

Works were to modify existing roundabout at Saham and Khabourah with live traffic to U-turns, for which existing culverts and road works were to be widened.

• Overall In charge of road and structural works and was able to complete job within stipulated time
• Planned and executed works for repair, widening, resurfacing, and reconstruction of pavements and culverts by temporary diversions to divert live traffic
• Coordinated for approvals from concerned departments and was able to achieve maximum area of work front to minimize diversions which reduced time and cost of project
• Confer with subcontractors, utility companies, and government agencies to discuss plans, specifications, and work schedules
• Defined engineering problems, collected data, established facts and drew conclusions to solve project issues
• Supported with proper documentation for additional works instructed during execution of works

Client: Punjab State Electricity Board
Project: Railway siding for Nabha Power Limited, Punjab
Value: 52 Million USD

Responsibilities:
Joined as Planning Engineer to monitor the progress of works for the development of railway siding of 14 km for delivery of coal to Nabha power plant.

• Prepared daily and monthly project reports and monitored asking rate to meet monthly targets
• Prepared monthly Invoices and coordinated with client to get interim payments certified
• Calculated major scope of works and prepared BOQ for permanent works and its submission for SC finalization
• Prepared daily, weekly, and monthly look-ahead plans for construction team
• Provided technical advice regarding design, construction, and program for building steel girder bridge for railway traffic of span of 30.5m from fabrication stage to commissioning of bridge
