1) Daily Business Operations:
a) Responsible for achieving overall Business targets (Corporate & Retail) of the Company
b) Responsible for improve the UFC market share by maintaining/improving the dealer relationship and network.
c) Develop & Manage Business pipeline plans to ensure steady growth in Corporate & Retail Book.
d) Co-ordinate with HORM & HOCM to ensure that the company’s objective are achieved in terms of Business Numbers, Growth & Book Quality.
2) Growth Strategies:
a) Assess Market conditions, define, recommend, implement and monitor Corporate and Retail strategies in order to gain and sustain UFC’s competitive edge and results
b) Develop Marketing plans/activities and ensure the maximum reach to Internal & External customers through Digital and Conventional channels.
c) Manage the Marketing Plan and ensure tie-ups with Very Large & Large Corporate are done for financing supply chain financing, retail loans and other structure products.
d) Ensure the necessary product & portfolio mix in line with the UFC Risk appetite is maintained.
e) Ensure the existing customer base is management effectively for Repeat & Referral Business.
3) Business Plan Execution:
a) Formulate business strategies, communicate the strategy, plan and initiatives to the staff.
b) Responsible for the Corporate Deposit mobilization plan & target for Corporate & Retail RMs
c) Develop knowledge base on Market practices, competitor tactics etc., to ensure that the Business Plans & Delivery are bettering Marketing expectations and delivery.
d) Ensure a full-fledged Digital Plan is developed and managed to ensure paperless, control based Loan Origination system is put in place.
e) Develop & Manage the Digital initiatives of the company.
4) Improving Revenue:
a) Optimize revenue by ensuring Net Interest Margins (NIM), Fee Income & other Income such as Insurance income etc., are achieved in line with target
b) Ensure the Book Quality is maintained by planning and executing necessary follow-up plans on the Regular & ENPA customers.
c) Assist and support the Collection/Recovery team in their collection efforts
d) Regular review of Operating costs in order to maintain cost control within the budget.
Lead 2 focused teams head by Unit Heads managing a group of Sr RMs and RMs along with credit analysts and Business support officers.
Divisions reporting to me include Real Estate, Travel &Tourism, Financial Services, Investment, Transport, Food and General Trade, Manufacturing, Energy Utilities & Contracting and Oil & Gas with a portfolio of over RO 700Million.
Assist the General Manager in formulating strategies and implement best practices within the division
Coordinate recruitment and training requirements for the corporate Banking Division
Liaise for cross selling of the bank’s products including Treasury, Trade Finance, investments as well as retail and private banking products relating to the group,
Ensure that account planning was done for all clients with lending over RO 5Mn to ensure that the team focuses on all bank products,
Involved in bank wide task of Revenue generation which involved working with different colleges from different divisions of the bank (CEO Initiative)
Train, develop and lead 2 division team of high performing relationship managers, Sr. relationship managers and Unit Heads to manage a portfolio consisting of Government Sector companies, Multinational companies and Local Large Corporates, as well as Tier 2 clients. Formalize relationship strategy, account planning and cross selling of overall bank products and monitor team performance against plan.
