• Conducted a detailed study of the Ediacaran-aged Khufai Formation, focusing on its regional well correlation and depositional model interpretation.
• Objective: Established correlations between surface and subsurface sections of the Khufai Formation by integrating outcrop studies with well log data.
• Research Activities:
• Reviewed and analyzed previous outcrop studies to understand existing geological interpretations.
• Integrated and interpreted available well log data to identify patterns and validate surface-subsurface correlation.
• Developed depositional models to provide insights into the formation's geological history and sedimentary processes.
• Deliverables: Generated comprehensive regional correlation maps and depositional models that contributed to a better understanding of the Khufai Formation's structure and stratigraphy.

Responsibilities:

• Well Log Correlation: Analyzed and interpreted well log data to establish regional correlations within the Amin Formation.
• Structural Modelling: Created detailed structural models to understand reservoir architecture and structural features.
• Facies Modelling: Developed facies distribution models to identify reservoir heterogeneity and depositional environments.
• Property Modelling: Generated reservoir property models, including porosity and permeability, to evaluate reservoir quality.
• Volumetric Estimation: Calculated gas-initially-in-place (GIIP) volumes using Petrel Software, supporting resource estimation and development planning.
