Section in charge of CENTRAL ENGINEERING & DESIGN including Reverse engineering, Stress & load analysis, & Feasibility Studies etc. of critical spares and special in-house projects

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with shift engineer for routine maintenance jobs as per priorities of operations
• Implement preventive maintenance for equipment as per plan and schedule
• Plan all maintenance jobs of to be carried out in DR plant raw material handling area (including jetty equipment) making use of all resources available
• Day to day preventive maintenance planning and work for overhauling, schedule overhauling maintenance, keeping history record of maintenance & Improvement
• Reverse engineering and drawing development for improve equipment life, easy maintenance and replacement of equipment, develop alternate vendor.
• A review spare parts requirement and to follow up & coordinate with commercial for the same.
• Prepare reconditioning plans for major equipment like briquetting machines, Hydraulic system, rotary equipment’s etc.
• SAP entry (Procurement, logbook, PM module, spare parts cord develop in SAP).
• Review SAP Pending Notification and Maintenance PM Plan and to Complete within target date.
• Preparation of annual budget for procurement of spares and consumption.
• Propose targets for operating hours, Maintenance cost considering routine & turnaround maintenance and finalize in discussion with Maintenance Head

Project Commissioning

• Involved in commissioned of 1.5 million Tons per annum capacity Steel Plant in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. Comprising 1.5MTPY HDRI/HBI shaft Furnace (MIDREX).
• Lead in commissioned of Gottwald make mobile harbour crane (G HMK 6407B) at jetty port area.
• Involved in commissioned of stacker reclaimer material handling equipment.

Project handling with design, engineering & commissioning

• Leading multiple in-house projects in DRI plant
• 4th briquetting machine installation
• HDRI feed bin installation
• Making Cantilever lifting tackle to replace combustion chamber panels in SMS plant
• Making compact gauge beam modification in rebar rolling mill for to increase product renege and production.
• Ongoing project Stacker reclaimer Bucket wheel drive system change. (From electrical drive to Hydraulic drive)

• Mechanical Maintenance) for Expansion project of Essar Steel
• I am assigned mechanical equipment’s erection, commissioning and maintenance work
• As Asst-Manager (Mechanical Maintenance) involved in following activities in DRI, cold DRI plant
• I have been a part of mechanical equipment erection, commissioning Cold DRI plant also part of and maintenance works
• Day to day preventive maintenance planning for overhauling, schedule overhauling maintenance, keeping history record of maintenance & Improvement and Modification work execution.

• Involved in Erection and Cold Commissioning of 1.5 million Tons per annum capacity Steel Plant in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman
• Comprising 1.5MTPY HDRI/HBI shaft Furnace (MIDREX),
• As Mechanical Maintenance Shift In-charge involved in following activities in DRI,HDRI
• Spares Planning & Follow up with Commercial Department
• Follow-up and participate in Technical modification

Performing gamut of day-to-day activities , planning & maintenance work in two mega modules of Hot Briquetted Iron and Direct Reduced Iron Plants of capacity 2.2 & 2.4 MTPA respectively.

Job planning - shut down planning & man power distribution.

Preparation of purchase requisition, annual budget, bill of materials.

Prepare Technical Specifications and follow for supplier diversification for cost saving approach. rotary equipment’s

Maintaining the equipment such as Blowers, pumps, fans, coolers, various type of compressor like: Centrifugal, lobe type, reciprocating and various bellows etc.

Ensuring preventive maintenance and spares availability of the super critical equipment like compressors, blowers, Fans etc...

Immediate response and alertness in breakdown maintenance.

Refurbishment and reuse of the equipment like valves, Hydraulic valves ,Hydraulic Motors, Gear boxes, all type of Dryer, Fluid Couplings, Mesh & scrapper conveyor, bucket elevators, Vibrating Hot Screen, coolers Belt Conveyor for raw material handling, jetty (port) equipment (ZPMC – Unloder, terex gottwald Mobile harbor crane)by repairing to reduce the maintenance cost.

Maintaining data and records of maintenance, inspection, recalibration of the equipment and tools and creating maintenance procedures.

Supervising and monitoring the performance level of the technical staff and work allocation to the teams for ensuring the accomplishment of targets.

• KRIBHCO has a Fertilizer Complex to manufacture Urea, Ammonia & Bio-fertilizers at Hazira in the State of Gujarat, India
• KRIBHCO has 2 Streams of Ammonia Plant(Each stream1520 MTPD capacity) and 4 Streams of Urea Plant(Each stream1310 MTPD capacity)
• Apprentice will report to Maintenance Team Leader for all technical information relating to maintenance of plant equipment and procedures
